Dr. Barbara K. Redman: Dean and Professor Barbara Redman, PhD, RN, FAAN, has been dean of the Wayne State University College of Nursing since 1998. An internationally respected researcher and author in the field of bioethics and a highly regarded administrator and teacher, she formerly served as dean of nursing at both the University of Connecticut and the University of Colorado. Dean Redman also has been executive director of the American Nurses Association and the American Association of Colleges of Nursing. She holds doctoral and master’s degrees from the University of Minnesota, a master’s degree in bioethics from the University of Pennsylvania and a bachelor’s degree in nursing from South Dakota State University.
